Blog: some of our favourite EU hotels…

By on March 15, 2016

We love to travel. And when we travel, we always look for small hotels or bed breakfast where the owners welcome their guests with love. Or places that are so special and inspiring decorated that you don’t get bored. Two of these addresses we would like to share with you! Would you like to read more about our travel adventures? Check Traveliciouz where we write about ‘food, art, design & travel’. And about a slow honest lifestyle.

We think life is about collecting beautiful memories. So what counts for us is the quality and not the quantity of places we share with you. It may be the smallest travelguide ever.

Restaurant of ‘Seehotel am Neuklostersee’

Seehotel Neuklostersee in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany

Do you like wellness? A super sauna (with fireplace) and a nice pool? Is it time for a little break? Do you see yourself and your love having a cozy dinner at the fireplace? This small hotel is situated next to a lake where it’s possible to explore the environment by boat. The owners, architects from Berlin, have shaped the whole with a sense of style. Include the extensive breakfast buffet, dinner with fresh and local ingredients, the crackling fireplace in the restaurant, the Children’s Hotel, the wooden floors, the ‘Kunstscheune’ exhibitions, the super sauna, country-style garden and the pleasant friendly atmosphere. And more. Also very nice … they have here regularly relatively affordable packages. If you would like a day away from the hotel, how about a day at the beach? The Baltic coast is relatively close. And don’t forget the watery city of Schwerin, with a special waterfront castle! More information? www.seehotel-neuklostersee.de

Hotel le Sénéchal in France (Île de Ré)

Have you ever been to Île de Ré? The white houses with hollyhocks along the facades, the salty smell of the sea … fish restaurants, quaint villages, harbors, beaches and scenic views … Ile de Re has something special. And although ‘half Jetset Paris’ comes here to celebrate an upscale vacation, the peninsula continues to have an authentic look. And this small hotel, where every room is different, is highly recommended. Online you can see the elegant interiors of the hotel rooms already. The lush and green courtyard with ‘small is beautiful’ pool makes it complete. So…what are you waiting for? Have a look at website.
